In-Person Interactive Workshop for Parents & Kids with Anxiety or OCD

For one day only, Dr. Allison Solomon and Natasha Daniels are joining forces to teach parents and children how to work through anxiety and/or OCD. 

There will be two workshops. You can register for one or both. EACH WORKSHOP REQUIRES A SEPARATE TICKET. The children's workshop ticket includes access for their parent to attend the children's workshop with them.

Here is a description of each:

Children’s Workshop Agenda

Time: 9am to 12pm Arizona Time

Breakfast included

Workshop For: 

Children ages 9 to 12 with anxiety and/or OCD

Parents must remain in the building.

8:45am Check-in

9:00am -10:00am:

        -Normalizing Anxiety & OCD
        -Playing Detective and Figuring Out Your Core Fears
        -Building Your Coping Skills by Creating an Emotional First Aid Kit
        -Learn How to Make Beating Anxiety or OCD Part of Your Daily Life
        -Do's and Don'ts to Beat Anxiety and OCD

10:00am - 10:15am Break 

10:15am - 12:00pm:

        -How to Deal with Siblings & Friends When You are Anxious
        -Using Games and Role Plays to Build Your Skills and Have Some Fun
        -Recognizing Your Super Powers and Building Your Self-Confidence

Parent Workshop Agenda:

Time: 1pm to 5pm Arizona Time

Lunch and snacks included 

Workshop For: Parents raising kids of any age with anxiety and/or OCD

AGENDA:

Parents will be put into groups depending on their level of understanding of anxiety & OCD. There will be more advanced exercises for those that have been in treatment for awhile.

        -Understanding Diagnoses and Sub-types of Anxiety & OCD
        -What Effective Treatment Looks Like and the Role of the Parent
        -Creating Effective Ways to Help Your Child Face Their Fears

3:15 - 4:30pm:

        -Common Parental Pitfalls and How to Get the Most Out of Therapy
        -How to Advocate for Your Child in the School System
        -How to Handle Friend & Family Who Don't Understand Your Child's Issues
        -How to Handle Your Own Anxiety, While Helping Your Child
        -Local and Global Resources to Support You

        Get Your Specific Questions Answered During this Q & A

This workshop is for educational purposes only and is not intended to replace the guidance of a qualified professional. Children attending the workshop must be between the ages of 9-12 years old and cannot be left unattended. A children's ticket admits both the child and one parent.
